Hospitality Manager– Sports Venue -Worthing -£35,000-£40,000 + benefits

 

We have been retained by an ambitious sports club on a journey to realise their full potential both on and off the field. The newly created Hospitality Manager post is a key appointment to achieve their goals, with the postholder working with the General Manager to develop their growing food, beverage, functions and events business in the club whilst improving the overall customer experience and the bottom line.

 

 

Key Accountabilities:

·         Coordinate matchday F&B operations across multiple bars, catering outlets and private functions and members areas.

·         Manage the daily non-matchday F&B operation, and as a key holder and senior manager, taking shared responsibility to open and close the club.

·         Take responsibility for procurement, menus, pricing and stock control to improve gross profit margins.

·         Manage a large team of casual bar and kitchen staff, scheduling for the peaks and troughs of trading.

·         Facilitate regular non match day functions and events, working with multiple stakeholders and outsourced caterers.

·         Oversee and drive all commercial elements of the F&B business including budgets, forecasting and cost control.

·         Ensure the F&B areas are well maintained, clean, safe, hygienic and compliant with regulations.

·         Support the general manager with developing new revenue generating opportunities.

 

The person

·         Self-driven, highly organized, ambitious with an ownership mentality and some entrepreneurial flair.

·         Senior leadership hospitality experience possibly as a Food & Beverage Manager, Conference and Events Manager, Hospitality Manager or venue General Manager

·         Food and beverage operations and events experience within a similar multi-faceted venue such as sports clubs and stadiums, fitness and recreational facilities, functions and events venues, hotels, holiday parks or visitor attractions.

·         Flexible to work some evenings and on weekends particularly on match days.

·         Living within an easy commute of Worthing.
